Pardon my Absence...
How do you do?!?!?!?
Let me first begin by saying that I miss blogging this past week with you but no worries because I'M BACK!!!!!!! So let's catch up quickly....Last week I was kinda sizzled by the fact that I thought I was going to miss seeing Esperanza Spaulding @ this no-name venue. Get this peeps... the tickets to see this fab, talented chick cost $0.00!!! Found out @ the last minute that it was not a first come, first serve event but you had to R.S.V.P. and I did not, AARGH:-( Long story, real short is that I without a doubt have the world's best father(for so many reasons not just this one) because not only did he get us tickets, I sat right in front of Esperanzi as she blessed the crowd with her music. Check out the photos people..
I have to make this post a little short but not to fret because there's more to come tomorrow. I'm officially back on the scene, and let's cross our fingers that Banana Republic calls me with an offer manana.. Can we all say together, "DISCOUNT SO HEFTY"?!?!!? I love it, and I love fashion. As always, have a great night and a beautiful tomorrow. Relax on dreaming, put things into motion, LET'S GO!

Sandcastles...
Que pasa?
Before I get into this, I just wanted you to be aware that this is a much needed brief vent session...
So I was on the phone speaking with a great friend of mine a short while ago and we got on the tender topic of knowing when to throw in the towel on something or someone where no progress is taking place. After all, life is about progression... HELLO! I was so tickled by the thought because often times without realizing it we'll outstay our welcome at places we needed to vacate ions ago.. Why do we stay?? Is it the comfort of that kindred spirit, or maybe your hope that one day soon CHANGE will arrive and fix your doubts and mind discomfort..Ummmm, not so much because it's one very important thought that we must keep in the front of our brains..You can not build a house made of sand and expect it to withstand any and all elements. If your foundation isn't solid, your castle will surely fall.
That is why I hate sandcastles, the ish is temporary and promised to crumble before your eyes. No matter how much you try to plaster the walls with water to make it stronger, when it drys it'll slip through your fingers, please believe what I'm saying. I can't let my life slip away having faith in sandcastles that will never stand the test of time. This is why I'm preparing to build a loft with a concrete foundation to ensure the longevity of something I look forward to..Faith in mankind to give their best or nothing at all because quite frankly I'm tired of being disappointed after having great expectations. The recovery process is the pits and life is so much sweeter when you stick to focusing on being the best you possible.
I swear I'm done chatting for tonight but I needed to get that off my brain because I was becoming exhausted filtering the possibility of greatness showing up anytime soon. Patience definitely is a virtue and thank goodness I have some. AHHHHH!!! Okay I had to scream real quick:-) I feel much better, buenos noches.

Owning my Destiny
So today begins Lent and for a few reasons, I'm most excited about participating this year. I know most definitely without any hesitation I am sure to stick to what I've committed to take out of my life. Lately,I've really been feeling empowered to completely focus on making my existence the best possible and in order to do so I realize that while it may be challenging, old things must be laid to rest. Now you and I both know that habits die hard(hence the definition of the word)but if they aren't beneficial or productive what real purpose do they serve in your world other than headache, heartache, and confusion????
What it really boils down to ya'll is that I don't want to cheat myself of my blessings in this lifetime. All this means is eliminating any BS from your life that will jeopardize your success and throw you off your square... I MUST STAY ON POINT. I'm in the process of ejecting toxins and toxic people from my cipher because I run a tight ship these days and the reality is that few can measure up to my standards of living a good life. The company you keep can either uplift you to the sky or become your downfall. We must choose wisely.
I have absolutely NO TIME for unnecessary negativity and that's why I'm focused on the task ahead and encouraging my friends to stick to their commitments of becoming their best person. What I've chose to sacrifice for Lent will not be simple but that's what's fueling my motivation to make it happen. We deserve happiness, but you have to handle your biz correctly to ensure that it's not a temporary feeling because we all know it sucks when you're feeling blue. Now on to some lighter convo for ya!!
I'm all about indulging in feel good activities and events for the mind, body and soul and that is why yours truly is attending a hot, little event in the City tonight called, "Martinis and Manicures". It's a lovely social event taking place @ Innjoy located in the trendy, revived area of Wicker Park. The manicures are free and the martinis... a solid $5 bucks! SWEET!!! Don't stress if you can't attend because surely you know your girl will have a tale or two for you manana, and maybe a few photos:-)On that note, I'll check ya later, have a mellow evening and smile...You are so loved!!

Technical Woes...
And hello to you,
I wanted to express myself to the masses briefly before I leave work tonight. Funny thing is that I was suppose to leave at 7:00 p.m. and it is now 9:24 p.m. Might you wonder what has kept me glued to my seat for the past two hours?? Ashamed as I am, I must admit that I've been obsessed with loading a playlist onto my page for the past two hours.
I huffed, and pouted because I couldn't understand why something so simple was the most challenging task of my day. It's a bit crazy and as a result of staring at my HP monitor for 11 hours strong, I'm suffering from a slight case of "hot sauce" eyes, and mild delirium. My good friend introduced me to a wonderful site to obtain all sorts of songs and videos and to her I say, "very good".
I would love to blog a little more, get into the purpose of Chi_Fashionista says.... and vibe a little longer with you but the reality is that I'm quite sleepy and ready to bounce. Let me do just that, prepare for tomorrow, and we'll catch up manana. I hope after all the trouble and fuss I experienced this good evening to provide you with some tunes that your ears do enjoy it because it's a variety of good music. Check you out later, be safe!
Peace
